For my tackle this week I need to do some organizing with Hailey’s toys.
This is my living room. Hailey has a separate playroom off our family room downstairs. So, most of her toys are in her playroom.
See that basket in this picture? It might be hard to see it with all of the toys overflowing out of it. But, the purpose of that basket it to keep a few toys in the living room. A few toys. They should fit into the basket.
Every other week I rotate Hailey’s toys. I take all of the toys that are in the basket and overflowing all over my living room back to her playroom and put them away. Then I bring some different toys upstairs to be kept in the basket. We always start out with just a few toys in the basket.
Then somehow during the night the toys multiply and everyday there are more and more toys in my living room. How all of these toys end up in my living room is beyond me. Before I know it the toys have started taking over the living room.
Anyhoo, my tackle for this Tuesday is to put all of these toys back in the playroom. I will bring a few different toys upstairs. And I am going to set up some surveillance cameras in my living room so I can try to figure out what goes on during the night.

We did this with all of our kids. We stopped about this time last year with the last kid, who is 4 years old. Now they keep them in their rooms and I go through toy boxes once a month and pitch or recycle toys.

It’s funny how the toys multiply! I need to get my living room cleaned up for my jewelry party on Thursday. We also had one of those vacuum/popper toys and recently sold it at our garage sale. Every home needs one of those!
