For the last few weeks there has been a theme for Thursday Thirteen. I don’t see one for this week, so I am going to do one I missed a few weeks ago when I was taking a little bloggy break. The theme was about places you’ve visited for vacation.
13 Places I Have Gone on Vacation
1. My favorite place to go on vacation is Disney World. We like to go every other year, but I would really love it if we could go every year instead.
2. About five years ago we went on vacation with my parents and my brothers to the Grand Canyon. If you’ve never been I would recommend you go there. You just can’t possibly understand the vastness and the beauty until you see it in person.
3. After we visited the Grand Canyon we also went to Las Vegas. While Last Vegas is well known for the gambling, there is actually tons of family oriented stuff to do there.
4. Niagara Falls is another one of those places you have to see in person to understand how amazing it really is.
5. While on a cruise a few years ago we went to Key West, FL and Cozumel, Mexico. I love taking cruises and if you’ve never been on one you should consider taking one.
6. We have family in Lake Placid, so we have taken many trips there. I have been there so much that sometimes I forget to stop and look around and take in all of the sights there are to see.
7. We have also been on a cruise to the Bahamas. The islands in the Bahamas were so beautiful. But, I think the thing that really stuck with me from this trip- was seeing how poor some people are. I mean I really had no concept of poor someone could really be until I saw some of the people who live in the Bahamas.
8. When I was a teenager we went to Pigeon Forge, TN. There was so much to do there- from seeing the smokey mountains to going bungee jumping.
9. We also visited Vermont when I was a teenager and I remember going on the tour of Ben and Jerry’s- I specifically remember free ice cream. Yummy!
10. We took some vacations with my aunt and uncle and cousins to Kennebunkport, Maine- which was always tons of fun.
11. I was able to visit Atlanta, GA and see a Braves game!
12. I’ve made several visits to Washington, DC and visited all of the monuments.
13. Myrtle Beach, SC. There’s lots to see and lots of relaxing on the beach to be done.

Since living on this coast, we get to go to the original Disneyland. It is so much fun that I too wish we could go every year. Love that place!

Been to ‘em all….except for Maine…and boy howdy I’d love to be there right now. It’s nearly 90 degrees where I am and after 5PM! Maine’s a lot cooler.

I’d love to see the Grand Canyon. I live less than a half hour from Niagara Falls. It is amazing at night with the colored lights.

I’ve been to a few of those places..Pigeon Forge, DC, Myrtle Beach, Atlanta. My husband is in the Navy, so I am thinking that a cruise isn’t going to happen….
