CPA Mom is having a cute giveaway this week for a Sugar and Spice Fashion Girls paper doll set. I loved paper dolls when I was little girl and I’m sure Hailey would love some too. Paper dolls have certainly changed since I was little though. Now they have magnets so the clothes actually stay on the dolls. I remember when I was little that the clothes stayed on by a little tab of a paper that folded over the doll- so the clothes were always falling off and the little tabs were always ripping. Anyways- I’d love to win this paper doll set for Hailey. If you’d like a chance to win stop by CPA Mom before Monday October 27th at 11:59 pm EST.

Wish I Was There
I do not like where we are living. Well, technically I do. I like our house. I like our neighbors. We are in a great family neighborhood, so I really shouldn’t complain. I guess I should say that I just wish we were in a different town. Same house just a different place. The place being the town that Rich and I grew up in, where a lot of our family lives. When I think of home I don’t think of where we are now. I think of the place we grew up in. I want so much to be able to move back so that we can be closer to our family and so that Hailey can see her relatives more often. I think about it every single day and just wish that I was there.
If you’re looking to move you can check out several moving companies. If you need to make an international move you may want to check out Internationalmovers.com where you can get shipping quotes for moving internationally.

Giveaway Everyday- Saturday Edition
I found a cute giveaway today that I wanted to tell you about. Over at Simple you can win a stamp with your child’s name on it from Little Stamp Company. You know how kids love to try to write their names? Well, Hailey loves to try to do that and is always asking me to write her name for her. So, I would love to win the “signature” style stamp. The stamp will have a large dotted font that spells out Hailey. So, she can connect the dots to work on learning how to write her name. If you’d like a chance to win, stop by Simple before November 1st.

It’s Been a Great Day
This morning Hailey and I went to our MOPS meeting and we had a great time. Hailey loved playing with the kids and didn’t cry at all. I loved talking to other moms, although I did cry. We watched a DVD presentation for Operation Christmas, a program we are going to do where we collect little gifts for children around the world and wrap them up in shoe boxes. All of the moms in the room were crying at the end of the DVD, so it wasn’t just me. But- wow- it really made me think, seeing all those kids who were excited beyond words to receive something small like a little doll. They just don’t have anything.
After the DVD our mentor spoke and then we went into the kitchen (it’s at a church with a pretty big kitchen). There was a professional chef there who prepared a fabulous dish- showing us step by step how to do it. He answered all sorts of questions for us and was really interesting to listen to. The only problem was that we were in there for a while and there weren’t any seats. I thought some nice commercial bar furniture would have been nice so we could have rested our weary legs. Affordable Seating has some really great choices that would have been perfect. After he finished the the presentation we got to eat his amazing cooking- and wow it was delicious!
Then we wrapped our meeting, I chatted with another mom for a little while and then we came home and had some lunch. Now Hailey is taking her nap and I am blogging. A perfect morning!
