My New Diet Plan

So I haven’t weighed in for the Hot for the Holidays challenge since September 19th.  Why?  Because I have been much too depressed about my lack of success.  On September 19th I had gained a pound.  On September 26th I had gained another pound.  Way to go, right?

So, I quit my diet. 

When I weighed myself on October 3rd, just for fun (because you know how much fun that can be, right?), I was down 3 pounds.  I weighed myself again today, because it was so much fun the last time, and I’m down another pound.  So, I gained one pound then lost four for a net total of a three pound loss since Sept 19th. 

And you know what else?  Today I wore a pair of jeans a size smaller than my usual size. 

So, what is this new diet plan I have?  No more dieting.

I’m off to weigh in at Baby Tea Leaves.

Net Weight loss since last weigh in- 3 pounds
Weight loss since August 1st- 9 pounds
Pounds left to reach mini-goal on October 31st- 11 pounds

    I’m right there with you….I kick my own butt this week and I GAIN a pound. :-( I have found that when I “diet”, I have the least amount of success.

    Oh, I’m so green that you were able to slip on a pair of jeans a size smaller. I’m still in my “fat” jeans. ;-) That’s definitely something to be proud of and keep you going.

    WELCOME BACK!! PLEASE STAY!!! We’re the best place to go when you’re down! We all need the support — trust me on that! I had a two pound gain last week and if it weren’t for the support of the rest of the crowd I wouldn’t have gotten back up on the horse! Great job on the loss!! And seriously, when you’re down and out that’s the best time to stay and grab a little motivation from all of us! I have posts up throughout the week for chatter!

    Just started counting calories myself, which is GOOD, b/c I was eating more than my fair share.

    Week one – lost 1.6 pounds. Still have 15.8 more to go. It’s a lifelong battle, I’m afraid!
