Does anyone else have a problem with flat surfaces in their house? Anywhere that there is a flat surface it seems like clutter starts to pile up. So, this week I decided it was time to tackle the clutter. And actually I don’t just let clutter build up- all of this clutter is the result of only a few days of not keeping on top of it.

I have this corner of counter space in my kitchen that is pretty much useless as far as cooking goes. So, stuff always ends up sitting there.

Things always end up on top of my microwave too. The basket is supposed to hold things that need to be put away in my desk. But it doesn’t usually work out that way.

And this dresser in my room is a place for anything that I don’t feel like taking care of right at the moment. Yes- there is a garbage can on top of my dresser. It keeps my dog and my 2 year old out of it.
And now my after pictures:

Let’s see how long it stays that way.

That is a very lovely difference! I usually have this problem with my computer and crafting desks… I end up with unfinished projects and papers all over the place, but I’m cutting down and finishing those projects

I have a problem with flat surfaces as well! You did a nice job clearing the areas. This week I decided to tackle the laundry room. You are right when you stated the hard job is keeping it that way!

What a wonderful difference. I thought to myself that I should choose an area and tackle a similar job.
