Fiber One Chewy Bars Giveaway

How is your daily intake of fiber?  Not where it should be?  Neither is mine.

So, when I was asked if I wanted to check out some Fiber One Chocolate Mocha Chewy Bars I jumped at the chance.  Something chocolaty, yummy and healthy?  Seems like a pretty easy answer to me.  And look at this amazing gift basket I got in the mail:

As soon as I opened the package I smelled that heavenly smell of chocolate.  Mmmmm- I love chocolate!  Best of all- the Fiber One bars also had a little hint of coffee flavor to them.  And- each bar gives you 35% of your daily fiber intake.  Since fiber makes you feel nice and full getting enough is a great way to lose or maintain your weight.  And did you know that 9 out of 10 Americans don’t get enough fiber?  Do you get enough?  Check out the Fiber-O-Meter to see if you’re getting enough.

    I like to eat the caramel oat Fiber One bars, and they have a good amount of fiber in them. I purchased them because I KNEW I wouldn’t like them, and that would ensure my husband always had one on hand for breakfast, ha! Turns out they are the yummiest of all breakfast bars…with only one other brand tying them for flavor, in my h.o.

    I’m a vegetarian,so I get a lot of fiber. I made Lentil soup tonight with lots of fresh veggies, carrots, tomatoes, onions and garlic, that is one of my all time favorites!!

    A good time is to eat the whole fruit instead of drinking juice, that is another way I get more fiber!

    Since I’m a vegetarian I probably get more fiber than most. I do eat a lot of vegetarian baked beans as a mainstay, plus salads. And I love heavy, hearty whole grain breads.

    I just had my gallbladder removed, so fiber has become a major part of my diet. I like Kellogg’s Fiber bars, and I use Benefiber in a lot of my foods.

    I’m a big bean eater…not a vegetarian, but what some people these days are calling “flexitarian”…I don’t eat animal products every day, just some of the time. Not only do I eat the standard beans and lentils, I go out of my way to find new kinds of beans and pulses (technically peas, but resembling beans). My current favorites are fava (broad) beans, peruano beans, pigeon peas, and red lentils, which turn yellow when you cook them.

    We eat side salads with most of our dinners at home, and try to have a dinner salad with meat or fish once a week. Produce is so incredibly high, so I anxiously await growing season up here (Maine). I have finally converetd everyone in the house to 12 or 15 grain bread as well.     I’m pregnant and cannot get enough fiber these days. I’m loving the new Fiber One granola bars that I bought yesterday! I got the oats and chocolate ones and they’re super tasty. I’m also getting addicted to Fiber Choice chewables, surprisingly un-chalky with a great taste. Who knew?

    I love the oats and caramel Fiber One chewy bars. They have 9 grams of fiber in them. And last night they were on sale for $2.50 at WalMart. What a deal, since they were $3.35 at Tops. So you guys might want to check that deal out. Great giveaway.
