If you or your child is bound for college this fall then you’re probably already thinking of ways to try to save money. I remember when I went to college I tried to be very careful with my money and my spending habits. I didn’t splurge on any items, I ate cheap food (although I was never a big fan of the Ramen noodles). One big money saver was that the girls I shared an apartment with and I kept our heat turned down pretty low. We were freezing most of the time but our bill was lower.
One thing I loved to get when I was in college was cash and gift cards- so that I could buy the things I needed. If you know someone getting ready to head off to college you’re going to want to check out Sears CampusReady. You can go to Sears and purchase a gift card for the student as a gift. Then as he or she uses the money you can reload the card just by going online and adding more funds. Then the student can use their card at Kmart or Sears.
You’re also going to want to check out CampusReady on Facebook. They have some fun ideas to make sure your college student is Campus Ready. I took a few minutes to look at it and I’m sure that college students can find things that will interest them.
Take a few minutes and make sure your child is going to be Campus Ready this fall!
