I haven’t done a Tackle it Tuesday since February when we were getting ready to sell our house.  Since then we have sold our house, lived with my parents for 2 months and FINALLY had the closing on our new house.  It’s a long story- but we were supposed to stay with my parents for a couple of weeks before the closing on our new home.  It didn’t exactly happen that way.  But- anyhoo- we have finally closed on our new house so we have some things to tackle.

First up- painting- we (and by we- I mean Rich, my mom, my dad and Brooke) painted the living room, dining room, hall, foyer, and Brooke’s room.  That is done and I should have pictures to show but I don’t.  I have before and during pictures, but no after.  The big project has been doing the hardwood floors- my dad and Rich have worked really hard to take the carpet out and sand the floors in the dining room and the our bedroom.  That isn’t done yet.  It takes a while for each coat of polyurethane to dry so this is a long process.  We plan to shampoo the carpets next and then finally move in.

Rich and I have been talking about going away on a romantic getaway for our anniversary that is coming up this month.  I can’t believe we’ve already been married for 9 years- time sure does fly!  So, to celebrate our anniversary we thought it would be fun to go away for a couple days.  My parents have already said that they would watch Hailey for us, so now we just need to figure out where we want to go and book the trip.

I love planning trips so today I was looking at the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel in Branson Missouri.  Both would make a great getaway location.  I have never gone to Missouri but there is so much information on the websites about things to do and see that I just know we would have a blast.

I would want to start our day out by sleeping in.  I don’t know if I’d be able to sleep past 7:30 or 8 am, but we sure could try.  Then we’d fill up with a yummy breakfast and head out to the shops and boutiques.  The river walk and the Payne Stewart golf course would also be some of the must-sees on my list.   And of course we’d finish up our fun filled day at one of the many restaurants for a fantastic dinner.

There is nothing better than a perfect pair of comfortable jeans.  I used to have a couple of pairs of favorite jeans and if you saw me out shopping or at home I was probably wearing one of my favorite pairs of jeans.  If I could just lose the “pregnancy” weight and fit back into those jeans I’d be comfortable all of the time again.

One reason I don’t have the perfect pair of jeans right now is that since I plan to lose weight I don’t want to spend the money on the perfect pair of jeans.  Because anyone who has ever owned that perfect pair of jeans knows that you might have to spend a few extra dollars to get the perfect ones.  I was looking at some Armani Exchange jeans and they look sooooo perfect.  Of course I’d have to try them on to know for sure, but I loved the Potassium Straight Leg jeans for $98.00 and the Rhinestone Skinny Flare Fit for $125.00.  My favorite pair was the Wing Printed Boot Cut jeans for $125.00.  Don’t these look comfy?
