So it seems we may be coming to the end of naps.  A time of day that I really need!  But lately, more often than not, Hailey won’t take a nap.  For a little while she would take naps as long as she had time to play outside in the morning and get all of her energy out.  But lately it seems like she just isn’t tired.  Around 5 pm she is ready to crash but if she sleeps then she won’t go to bed at night.  Today we went out to breakfast with some of our family that is here visiting, then Hailey played at the park with her cousin and then played in the sprinkler- and she still wouldn’t take a nap.  So I know she had plenty of activity time but just wasn’t tired.  Instead of a nap we did quiet time- she had to sit on her bed and read books until a timer went off to let her know she could get up.  We’ll see how it goes!  But I am sure going to miss nap time!!

Rich and I just got back from a little getaway we took for our anniversary.  And we are already talking about taking another one!  The first time we went away we left Hailey with my parents- it since it was the first time we had ever left her I did so much worrying about her even though she was totally fine.  But when we went away for our anniversary- the second time we had left her with my parents, I had a better time knowing that she was going to be perfectly fine.

So I was checking out the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel in Branson Missouri.  I have never been to Missouri and think it would be a lot of fun to visit.  There is so much to do in Branson that I know our day would be full.  If we started out with a fantastic breakfast at the hotel we picked we could head out to some of the many shops and enjoy the Payne Stewart golf course as well as a Southern Gospel Picnic.  I know our day would be full of fun and we would have several great restaurants to choose from for dinner.

How often do you get away with your spouse?  Where is the best vacation you have taken together?

I am looking for some suggestions.  At our new house we have a white sink in our kitchen.  For some reason no matter how much I scrub the sink it just does not look clean.  I have tried various cleaning products.  The other day I used Comet and got it a little wet and then scrubbed it and let it sit for a while.  When I rinsed it out it looked cleaner, but still not totally clean.  Plus I don’t want to do that every single day.  Ugh!  So, other than getting a new sink does anyone have any idea for making it look a cleaner?

So it’s back to school time- and it’s time to get some shopping done.  Actually I think some kids are going back to school next week, so if you haven’t done your back to school shopping yet it might be a little late.  But if you still have time I’m sure you’ll want to check out Lucky Brand products.
