So I logged onto Facebook tonight.  Just as I always do after Hailey goes to bed.  To check what my friends are up to and to see if there is any important news.  And there was some important news- apparently Ellen DeGeneres is going to be taking the open judge slot on American Idol this season.  Paula Abdul announced she was leaving a little while ago and now Ellen is going to take her place.  I’ve always liked Ellen, she’s funny and I hope she’ll make American Idol worth watching again.

So are you looking forward to the Ironman 70.3?  Branson Missouri will be where the Ironman 70.3 will be having its starting race next Friday- September 19th.  It’s where one of the 34 worldwide qualifying events takes place for the 2010 Foster Grant Ironman World Championship 70.3.

Plus if you haven’t taken a nice summer vacation yet- this would be the perfect place to go- you can stay at the Hilton Branson Convention Center.  I know I have mentioned before that I have never been to Branson Missouri but that it looks like a lot of fun. I think the golf courses sounds pretty neat- there is even one in honor of the golfer Payne Stewart. And there is just so much to do there that there is something for everyone to enjoy. It could be a getaway for a couple or a fun family vacation.

The Silver Dollar City package sounds like a perfect family vacation choice. If we picked that we’d get to spend our day at the Silver Dollar City and White Water. We love activities like that so it would be the perfect choice for us.

You know why this isn’t funny?  Every time we go away Rich wants to know if there will be internet access so he can work.  How about you?  Do you check to see if there will be interent access before you pick a place to stay for a vacation?

Ugh!  I am feeling old!  I’m almost 2 years old and for someone of my breed that is starting to get up there is age.

It’s probably lack of sleep that makes me feel so old- I get put to sleep every night around midnight and then as soon as my master wakes up she starts pushing my buttons.  She knows just which ones to push to get me going too.  That’s why I move so slow- if she’d let me have a bit more rest I might cooperate a bit better.

And don’t even get me started on that toddler in the house!  As soon as I hear her coming I get nervous and am never sure which combination of buttons she is going to push.

And that camera- my master is always adding more pictures to me from that camera.  How many pictures does she really think I can remember?  The next time she plugs that memory card into me, all full of pictures of the toddler I’m just going to freeze up and refuse to work.  It’s the only way I can get a break!
