You Gotta See This

October 5, 2009

Do you know what drives me crazy?  Well, there are several things actually.  But one of the things that bothers me every single day is my contacts.  I hate wearing glasses even more than I hate wearing contacts, so I have to deal with it.  But my eyes get so dry and it feels like there is sand in my eyes.  I usually can not have my contacts in all day long because I would want to claw my eyes out if I left them in that long.  I’ve tried many different kinds of contacts and have tried many different kinds of contact solutions.  Nothing seems to work.  So I think I know what might work- getting iLASIK.

Contest

Right now there is an iLASIK Video Contest that seems like it would be fun to enter.  You just have to make a video in one of three categories- how your contacts are getting in your way, how your favorite activity would be better if you could see, or how much better life is after iLASIK.  Then you tell your friends to vote for you.  You’ll have a chance to win some great prizes- with the grand prize being $5,000.

So go on and check it out!

Playing Dress Up

October 1, 2009

Part of the fun of being little is playing dress up.  One of Hailey’s favorite things to do is to get dressed up and play pretend.  And I know that when I was teaching pre-k the most popular center during free play was the dramatic play area- where kids could dress up and pretend to be whoever they wanted to be.  And it’s certainly the same with Hailey- one day she is pretending to be Cinderella, the next she is Lilo (from Lilo and Stitch) and lately she has been Captain Hook.  Watching her imagination at work is so much fun!

A great way to encourage the pretending is to offer dress up clothes for your child.  A great place to find some dress up clothes is Aeromax, which is where we got this adorable Jr. Poodle Dress:

Could she be any cuter?!?!

A bit more about Aeromax:

There’s nothing better than daydreaming while you are pondering what to do for the next 95 years of your life. But in order to imagine all of the possibilities, it helps to be wearing a very cute little outfit. Not fancy but fantasy!

If you want to flutter about the garden it helps to be wearing wings when you’re a garden fairy. Pirates need a headscarf and flappers must have red-fringed dresses. Little girls everywhere will be able to dress up and imagine themselves to be anyone, anywhere when they have one or more of these adorable Aeromax costumes in their closet.

Aeromax, award-winning makers of children’s dress up clothing, understands that the look is as important as the feel and the fit. That’s why they’ve whipped up six fresh outfits just for little girls. Big girls (aka Mom) will appreciate the sturdy structure of the fabric, the stitching and other details that make these costumes stand up to plenty of wash and wear.

Moms also appreciate that Aeromax has a long list of industry awards including Family Fun’s Toy of the Year, Nick Jr. Top 50 and the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio’s Platinum Award. Aeromax’s website, www.aeromaxtoys.com, offers a foolproof size chart to get a perfect match for a growing child.

Encourage your little ones imagination- stop by and check out the great selection at Aeromax!
