Are there any fitness or weight loss groups to join for Fridays? Or any day, really. I have joined some in the past and it really helped me to lose weight. Now I need to find a group to join again- I just can’t seem to find one. We have a vacation planned for September and I would really like to reach my goal weight before we go. I know joining a blogging group would really help to keep me motivated.
On A Roll
I am on a weight loss roll. I know at some point I will hit that dreaded platue, but for now it’s going well. I am down two more pounds this week. And the very exciting thing about that is that I am at my lowest weight since I had Hailey two years ago. I took my measurments as well, and they are getting smaller. The thing is that at one point in the summer of 2007 when I was really working out every day my measurements were smaller than they are now, even though I weighed a bit more. Right now the only exercise I get is my daily walk with Hailey. And even though it’s better than nothing it’s not really very great exercise. Anyhoo- my measurements are telling me that it’s time to kick it up a notch in the exercise department. So this week I’m going to focus on adding in some exercise… and keeping very far away from the Halloween candy.
Weight loss this week- 2 pounds
Weight loss since August 1st- 13.5 pounds
Pounds left to reach mini-goal on October 31st- 6.5 pounds (which is clearly not possible)

The Losing Continues
I had another good week with my weight loss. It seems that when I quit my diet a few weeks ago I just started losing weight. So, what is my secret? Honestly- I’ve been struggling with some anxiety lately. And some days I feel so anxious that I don’t eat very much. When I wake up I immediately feel nauseous, which of course means I don’t want to eat. I have some days that are better and I feel fine most of the day. Then other days I feel too anxious to eat. It’s a terrible way to feel, but I guess the plus side is that I’m losing weight.
On a more positive note… just for fun, last night- I tried on my old “fat” jeans. And I was able to get them on. I was even able to button them. They were a bit tight and created a total muffin top effect, but still- they were on my body for the first time in 2 1/2 years.
So, now I’m off to Baby Tea Leaves to report in- if I continue at this rate, I might indeed be hot for the holidays!

My New Diet Plan
So I haven’t weighed in for the Hot for the Holidays challenge since September 19th. Why? Because I have been much too depressed about my lack of success. On September 19th I had gained a pound. On September 26th I had gained another pound. Way to go, right?
So, I quit my diet.
When I weighed myself on October 3rd, just for fun (because you know how much fun that can be, right?), I was down 3 pounds. I weighed myself again today, because it was so much fun the last time, and I’m down another pound. So, I gained one pound then lost four for a net total of a three pound loss since Sept 19th.
And you know what else? Today I wore a pair of jeans a size smaller than my usual size.
So, what is this new diet plan I have? No more dieting.
