Now I need to find a group to join again- I just can&#8217;t seem to find one.  We have a vacation planned for September and I would really like to reach my goal weight before we go.  I know joining a blogging group would really help to keep me motivated.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I am on a weight loss roll.  I know at some point I will hit that dreaded platue, but for now it&#8217;s going well.  I am down two more pounds this week.  And the very exciting thing about that is that I am at my lowest weight since I had Hailey two years ago.  I took my measurments as well, and they are getting smaller.  The thing is that at one point in the summer of 2007 when I was really working out every day my measurements were smaller than they are now, even though I weighed a bit more.  Right now the only exercise I get is my daily walk with Hailey.  And even though it&#8217;s better than nothing it&#8217;s not really very great exercise.  Anyhoo- my measurements are telling me that it&#8217;s time to kick it up a notch in the exercise department.  So this week I&#8217;m going to focus on adding in some exercise&#8230; and keeping very far away from the Halloween candy.</p>
<p>Weight loss this week- 2 pounds<br />
Weight loss since August 1st- 13.5 pounds<br />
Pounds left to reach mini-goal on October 31st- 6.5 pounds  (which is clearly not possible)</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I had another good week with my weight loss.  It seems that when I quit my diet a few weeks ago I just started losing weight.  So, what is my secret?  Honestly- I&#8217;ve been struggling with some anxiety lately.  And some days I feel so anxious that I don&#8217;t eat very much.  When I wake up I immediately feel nauseous, which of course means I don&#8217;t want to eat.  I have some days that are better and I feel fine most of the day.  Then other days I feel too anxious to eat.  It&#8217;s a terrible way to feel, but I guess the plus side is that I&#8217;m losing weight.</p>
<p>On a more positive note&#8230; just for fun, last night- I tried on my old &#8220;fat&#8221; jeans.  And I was able to get them on.  I was even able to button them.  They were a bit tight and created a total muffin top effect, but still- they were on my body for the first time in 2 1/2 years.</p>
<p>So, now I&#8217;m off to <a href="http://babytealeaves.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Baby Tea Leaves</a> to report in- if I continue at this rate, I might indeed be hot for the holidays!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So I haven&#8217;t weighed in for the <span style="color: #e64000;"><a href="http://babytealeaves.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Hot for the Holidays</a></span> challenge since September 19th.  Why?  Because I have been much too depressed about my lack of success.  On September 19th I had gained a pound.  On September 26th I had gained another pound.  Way to go, right?</p>
<p>So, I quit my diet. </p>
<p>When I weighed myself on October 3rd, just for fun (because you know how much fun <em>that</em> can be, right?), I was down 3 pounds.  I weighed myself again today, because it was so much fun the last time, and I&#8217;m down another pound.  So, I gained one pound then lost four for a net total of a three pound loss since Sept 19th. </p>
<p>And you know what else?  Today I wore a pair of jeans a size smaller than my usual size. </p>
<p>So, what is this new diet plan I have?  No more dieting.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Last week I posted that I&#8217;m going to be <a href="http://ourhappyhappenings.com/2008/09/ill-be-hot-for-the-holidays/" target="_blank">Hot for the Holidays</a>.  But now I&#8217;m not so sure.</p>
<p>Actually- I did okay for most of the week.  For some reason food doesn&#8217;t seem all that good to me lately.  I have no idea why- and many days I am actually really hungry, but nothing looks good and I end up not eating much.  So, I should have lost a lot of weight this week, right?  Apparently not.</p>
<p>On Thursday morning I was down 1/2 pound from last week.  So, even without eating much and taking a walk most days I didn&#8217;t lose a whole lot.  But, since yesterday was Rich&#8217;s birthday we went out to eat and had some birthday cake last night.  And while I didn&#8217;t <em>that</em> much when we went out to dinner and I didn&#8217;t eat <em>that</em> much birthday cake I still did damage.  I&#8217;m up 1 pound since last week.  (1 1/2 pounds since yesterday)  So, while I know it&#8217;s probably just from a heavy meal it still leaves me feeling discouraged.</p>
<p>Not only am I up 1 pound, but now I have to go weigh in at <a href="http://babytealeaves.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Baby Tea Leaves </a>and tell everyone else that they are up 1 pound too (since we weigh in as a group).  Ugh- anyways- hopefully it will come right back off and I&#8217;ll be down a lot next week.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I have been posting each Friday about my weight loss goal and how my dieting has gone during the week.  I was a part of a group that was also doing this, but the group has dwindled down to about 2 people.  And since I think support will help to motivate me I am moving on to a new weight loss group that I found.</p>

<p>This is a different kind of group of ladies trying to lose weight to be hot in time for the holidays.  Each week everyone will report in their gains and losses and then Christie over at <a href="http://babytealeaves.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Baby Tea Leaves </a>will tally up our losses (or gains) for a group total.  So, if I gain- everyone gains.  If I lose- I help out the team.  So before I bite into that yummy chocolate chip cookie I have to stop and think- there&#8217;s no way I&#8217;ll eat just one, it&#8217;ll end up being like one row of cookies- and if I gain then the whole group gains.  I&#8217;m really excited about this and I think it&#8217;s going to help me on my way to reaching my goal!</p>
<p>So, how did I do this week?  I lost 2 pounds.  Woo Hoo!!</p>
<p>Since I started my diet back on August 1st I&#8217;ve lost 7 pounds.  Today was my first mini-goal date and I had wanted to lose 10 pounds by today.  It didn&#8217;t happen, but I&#8217;m not going to get discouraged about it.  My next mini-goal will be to lose 13 pounds by October 31st, which will put me back on track for reaching my main goal.  I have to work a little harder this time since I have an extra 3 pounds to lose, but I know I can do it.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I am really late posting this, but that is better than last week when I never posted about my diet.  I was just busy last week and ran out of time.  This week Hailey has been sick which always cuts into my blogging time.  She has a cold and can&#8217;t breathe out of her nose which makes it hard for her to sleep which is when I usually do my blogging.  Then I started giving her nebulizer breathing treatments yesterday to prevent the wheezing that often comes with her colds.  But the treatment made her act funny today- and I will not be giving it to her again.  She did not take a nap at all today because she just could not hold still at all.  So, it was a long day and this is the first chance I have had to sit down and post.</p>
<p>And there is nothing exciting to share.  I am only down one pound from when I weighed in two weeks ago.  Which basically means I have to lose 5 pounds this week in order to meet my mini goal of losing 10 pounds by Sept 12th.  It doesn&#8217;t seem very likely although I will try to meet the goal I&#8217;m not feeling very confident about it.</p>
