Handmade Bows

December 15, 2010

Tonight on Facebook one of my friends posted a link to a site called The Ribbon Retreat.  It’s a really neat site with all sorts of ribbons and bows and cute ideas for your little girl’s hair. There is a section of free hair bow instructions with step by step directions for how to make some cute bows.  There is also a section where you have to join in order to get the instructions.  I looked through the free instructions and think I might be able to try some of those out.  I’m not all that crafty though, so I don’t know.  I’m going to try some free ones and see how they come out.

Finished Deck

November 12, 2010

Rich finished building the deck:

But I thought something was still missing…  I thought it would be nice to have the storage space underneath without having to worry about people seeing the messiness.  So I convinced Rich to make the bottom into a shed.  Then we added some landscaping and whaaalaaa:

The finished deck.  I think it looks great!!

Switch to Generic Formula

October 20, 2010

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of PBM Products. All opinions are 100% mine.

Babies are expensive!  It’s one of those things that people always tell you but you just don’t understand until you have your own children- all of the things that a baby needs to have really adds up and costs you a lot of money.

I had always wanted to breastfeed when I had a baby.  And when we decided that I would be leaving my job to stay home with Hailey I knew that I had to breastfeed to save on the cost of formula. But I know thatbreastfeeding does not work out for everyone.  There are many reasons that breastfeeding may not be successful for everyone and those people should not have to pay a fortune to buy formula for their baby.

Since all baby formula has to comply with the same FDA regulations and nutritional standards it only makes sense to buy the store brand formula. Especially with the recent recall on Similac formula, which made national news and was discussed in an article on moneywatch.com I know many parents are unsure about their choice of formula.  Parent’s Choice Formula offers complete nutrition for newborn babies up through 12 months old.  They also have a range of formulas to help with common feeding issues that babies tend to have.

Now to make it even easier for you to switch to generic formula you can find Parent’s Choice formulas on-line at Walmart.com’s Baby Center.  Sometimes it’s really hard to get out of the house when you have a baby so being able to have formula shipped (in case sizes only) to your house for no extra charge.

Time for New Fall Clothes!

October 6, 2010

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Rambler’s Way Farm. All opinions are 100% mine.

So fall is here and it's my favorite season.  Which of course means that I need to go shopping to buy some new clothes for the new season.  What kind of material do you look for when you buy your clothes?  Do you purposely search out wool?  If you're anything like me you probably don't.  You probably think of an itchy, hot and heavy sweater when you think of wool- at least I know I do.

But- you would be wrong, just like I was.  Ramblers Way Farm uses a special technology to make their wool clothing feel soft and be light weight.  So, now you can have high quality and comfortable clothes.  Since the clothes at Ramblers Way are made with the finest wool and don't have any dyes, chemicals or stabilizers I'm pretty sure you're going to want to shop at Ramblers Way.

And since I need some new clothes- the first thing I would buy at Ramblers Way would be the Women's Hoodie- it looks so perfect for fall!!  I can't decide if I would want it in brown or indigo- but either way it would be a perfect addition to my fall wardrobe!

Make sure you check out the wool clothes at Ramblers Way when you do your next wardrobe update!
